Twitter keyword alerts: a Telegram message when a word, #hashtag or $ticker is posted

Twitter keyword alerts send you a message when a word, #hashtag or $ticker appears in a tweet. X has no built-in one, so Xanguard adds them in Telegram: free keyword filters on accounts you track (~200 ms median detection on paid plans, published live), or Search Alerts across all of X for $50 a month (20 queries, checked as often as every minute). Twitter alerts for keywords: which kind do you need?

The practical rule: if you can name the accounts that matter, track them and filter by keyword. That is the fastest keyword alert you can get, because nothing has to be searched. Use an all-of-X search only for words you cannot tie to a list of accounts.

How to set up Twitter keyword alerts

Free keyword filter on accounts you track (instant)

1. Open @Xanguard_bot in Telegram and press Start. On the free plan you join the Xanguard community first; paid plans skip this.
2. Choose where alerts go. Create a private Telegram group, add @Xanguard_bot as an admin and send /setup in the group. You can switch delivery to your private chat or to Topics later in /settings.
3. Add an account with keywords in one step: /add @handle | ca, launch, pump.
4. Or open Keywords in the bot menu, pick the account and add words. Only tweets containing at least one of them alert you. Leave it empty to get every tweet.

Keyword Alerts across all tracked accounts ($10/mo)

1. In the bot, open Add-ons and choose Keyword Alerts.
2. Pay $10 in SOL. It activates when the payment confirms.
3. Enter one keyword list. It applies to every account you track, so you do not have to set words account by account.

Search Alerts across all of X ($50/mo, scheduled)

1. In the bot, open Add-ons, choose Search Alerts and pay $50 in SOL.
2. Add up to 20 queries. Plain words, quoted phrases, #hashtags, $cashtags and X search operators all work.
3. Set the check interval: 1, 5, 10 or 30 minutes, 1 hour or 6 hours (default 30 minutes).
4. New matches arrive in Telegram with the matched query, the author, the tweet text and a link. Repeats are removed, and adding a query does not flood you with old tweets.

How do I monitor Twitter for keywords?

Twitter keyword monitoring means something checks X for your words continuously and tells you about new matches, so you are not refreshing a search. There are two ways to do it, and the difference is whose tweets you need.

1. Known accounts: track them and set keywords on each. Xanguard watches the accounts, so a keyword match reaches Telegram at tweet-alert speed. Free on every plan.
2. Anyone on X: run a Search Alerts query. Xanguard re-runs it on the interval you choose (1, 5, 10 or 30 minutes, 1 hour or 6 hours) and sends only new matches.

What are Twitter search alerts?

A Twitter search alert is a saved X search that notifies you when new tweets match. Xanguard Search Alerts holds 20 of them for $50 a month, supports plain words, quoted phrases, #hashtags, $cashtags and X search operators, and sends results to Telegram, a REST API or a WebSocket. Examples:

Operators are X's own search syntax (OR, -word, "phrase", lang:, min_faves:, -filter:replies, from:); what X search returns is what Search Alerts can match.

How do I get Twitter mention alerts?

Add your brand, product or @handle as a Search Alerts query, for example acme OR @acme -from:acme, to catch tweets about you from anyone, including untagged ones. Competitor tracking works the same way with their name. If you only care when specific people mention you, track those accounts and add your name as a keyword filter: free and instant. Twitter hashtag alerts

X has no hashtag alert either. Two ways to get one:

1. Hashtag from anyone: add it as a Search Alerts query, for example #airdrop. One query can cover several tags with OR: #crypto OR #altseason. Add min_faves:20 or -filter:replies to cut spam.
2. Hashtag from specific accounts: add #yourtag as a keyword filter on those accounts. Free, and it arrives as soon as the tweet is detected.

Cashtag alerts ($SOL, $BTC, $ETH)

A cashtag is a dollar sign plus a ticker, such as $SOL. Traders watch them because a cashtag from the right account often moves price within seconds.

• From the KOLs you follow: add $SOL, $BONK as keyword filters on their accounts and get those tweets at tweet-alert speed.
• From anyone on X: add the cashtag as a Search Alerts query. Use longer tickers or a phrase, because short tickers match a lot of noise.
• Contract addresses: you do not need a keyword for these. When a tracked account posts a token contract address, the alert carries a token box with price, market cap, liquidity and links.

Who should not buy Search Alerts

1. If you need a keyword from unknown accounts within seconds. Our fastest schedule is once a minute; X-Relay and TweetNotify check more often.
2. If you only need one or two keywords. $50 for 20 queries is poor value for two.
3. Discord users. Xanguard does not deliver to Discord.
4. Marketing teams who want sentiment reports. Social-listening tools do that; Xanguard sends alerts.
5. If you cannot pay in SOL. Xanguard takes SOL only.

How keyword alerts go wrong (and how to avoid it)

1. Short words match too much. "sol" also matches "solution". Use longer words, cashtags or quoted phrases.
2. Broad all-of-X queries flood the chat. Add operators such as min_faves:20, -filter:replies or lang:en.
3. Text inside images is not matched. A ticker posted as a screenshot contains no searchable text. (The B2B Enterprise plan reads contract addresses from images.)
4. X search leaves some tweets out. Any all-of-X keyword tool inherits that. If a miss would cost you money, track the account itself and filter by keyword.

Search Alerts comes with a REST API and a WebSocket. Generate an sa_ key from the Search Alerts screen in the bot.
