Twitter keyword alerts need a tool, and the right one depends on three things: how fast you need the tweet, where you want the alert, and how many keywords you track. We read the pricing and product pages of seven alternatives on 6 October 2026 and list only what each page says. The cheapest are Twilert from $9 a month (and a free daily alert) and IFTTT Pro at $2.99. Xanguard is the only one here that lists Telegram delivery. Updated October 2026.
Disclosure: Xanguard publishes this post and sells one of the options. Competitor figures are quoted from their own pages; we did not run a speed test of the other tools, and plans change, so verify before you buy.

What does each Twitter keyword alert tool do well?
Twilert: cheapest dedicated keyword email
Twilert monitors X and sends email digests on a schedule you set, with Boolean operators, language and geo filters. It has a free daily alert, and paid plans of $9, $19 and $97 a month for 5, 20 and 100 alerts. If email is where you want alerts and a few minutes of delay is fine, it is the least expensive dedicated option here.
IFTTT: cheap and flexible, with limits
IFTTT has a "New tweet from search" trigger that fires when a tweet matches your query, limited to 10 tweets per check and excluding protected tweets. You pick the action: a phone notification, a spreadsheet row, a webhook. Pro costs $2.99 a month and lists Twitter applets. It is a general automation tool, so it has no keyword management screen or deduplication of its own. See also Xanguard vs IFTTT.
Syften: broad community monitoring, X as add-on
Syften watches 17+ sources such as Reddit, Hacker News, GitHub, YouTube, Bluesky and X, and delivers by email, Slack, RSS, API or webhook. It states Reddit at most one minute behind and X at most 15 minutes. X is a paid add-on on the Standard and PRO plans, so budget above the listed $49.95 and $119.95. Best when you want one inbox for mentions across many communities.
RedMonitor: Reddit-first, includes X
RedMonitor lists Reddit, Hacker News, YouTube and Twitter, with email alerts, negative keywords and AI filtering. Plans are $19, $49 and $149 a month, each mention costs one credit, and it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Its site says speed depends on the platform.
Fedica: keyword email briefs inside a social suite
Fedica's Post Alerts track keywords, hashtags and phrases with all, any, exact-phrase and exclusion filters, delivered as email briefs hourly, daily or in between, and show demographics on an alerts dashboard. It is included in the Research plan or higher, so you buy the suite, not just the alert.
Brand24: full social listening, priced for teams
Brand24 covers X among other sources and adds analytics and spike alerts. Entry is $249 a month billed monthly ($199 on annual), with hourly or 12-hourly updates; real-time updates start at Pro ($499 monthly, $399 annual). It suits marketing teams who want reports, not traders who want a ping.
X saved searches: free, but you do the checking
X's help page describes saving a search in its mobile app so you can run it again from the search box. It describes no notification when new tweets match, so it works as a bookmark rather than an alert.
Xanguard: Telegram, and instant for accounts you track
Xanguard has three options, all in Telegram: per-account keyword filters (free, including the free 1-account plan), Keyword Alerts at $10 a month (one list across all tracked accounts), and Search Alerts at $50 a month (20 queries across all of X, checked every 1, 5, 10 or 30 minutes, 1 hour or 6 hours, with REST and WebSocket). Full setup, examples and limits: Twitter keyword alerts in Telegram. Payment is in SOL only and is final.
How do I choose a Twitter keyword monitoring tool?
- Need the tweet within seconds, from accounts you can name? Track the accounts and filter by keyword. Xanguard does this for free and nothing has to be searched.
- Need a word from anyone, delivered to Telegram? Xanguard Search Alerts. If you need it under a minute, check the vendors that publish faster all-of-X checks; ours is 1 minute at best.
- Want email digests for a brand? Twilert (from $9) or Fedica (with the Research plan).
- Want mentions across Reddit, Hacker News and X? Syften or RedMonitor.
- Want reports and sentiment for a team? Brand24.
- Want to wire alerts into other apps cheaply? IFTTT.
What are the honest limits of keyword alerts?
- Short words match too much ("sol" also matches "solution"). Use longer words, cashtags or quoted phrases.
- Text inside images is not searchable by any of these tools.
- All-of-X search inherits what X search returns; some tweets never appear. If a miss costs money, track the account itself.
- Xanguard does not deliver to Discord and takes SOL only.

Frequently Asked Questions
Twilert has a free daily alert and paid plans from $9 a month (5 alerts, email). IFTTT Pro is $2.99 a month and has a 'New tweet from search' trigger, limited to 10 tweets per check. Xanguard keyword filters on accounts you track are free, delivered to Telegram. All prices are from each vendor's own page, checked 6 October 2026.
Vendors publish different things, so a fair ranking is not possible. Twilert says near real time every 5 minutes on its $19 plan. Syften says X is at most 15 minutes. Brand24 says real time from its Pro plan. Xanguard Search Alerts runs as often as every minute, and keyword filters on tracked accounts run at tweet-alert speed (~200 ms median detection on paid plans). We did not run a side-by-side test.
Xanguard delivers keyword alerts to Telegram. The other tools reviewed here list email, Slack, RSS, API or webhook delivery on their own pages, not Telegram. Delivery channels can change, so check each vendor before you buy.
Not that we could find. X's help page describes saving a search in the mobile app so you can re-run it, and describes no keyword notification. A separate tool has to watch the search for you.
Only if the word can come from accounts you cannot name. If you know the accounts, tracking them and filtering by keyword is faster, because nothing has to be searched. Xanguard offers both: free per-account keyword filters and Search Alerts at $50 a month for 20 queries.
