Twitter Keyword Tracker 2026: Instant vs Scheduled

The short answer

"Keyword tracking" on X means two different jobs, and they run at very different speeds.

1. A keyword from accounts you already watch (a dev posting "CA", a fund saying "listing", a founder saying "launch"). Use a keyword filter on those accounts. On Xanguard this is free on every plan, including the free 1-account plan, and alerts arrive as fast as any tweet alert: a detection median of about 265 ms on paid plans, and about 0.6 s median from tweet to Telegram. This is the fastest keyword alert you can get, because nothing is searched; the tweet is caught and then checked for your words.
2. A keyword from anyone on X (a ticker, a project name, "airdrop confirmed"). This needs a search of all of X, and every tool does it on a check interval, so it is seconds to minutes, not milliseconds. X-Relay's Search Tracker is the fastest published option we found (about every 15 seconds, about 4 with Turbo, from $15 a month). TweetNotify states under 15 seconds (2 keyword monitors on its $19 plan). Xanguard Search Alerts ($50 a month for 20 queries) runs on a schedule you choose, from every minute to every 6 hours, default 30 minutes. It is the slower option; choose it for its query volume and API delivery, not for speed.

Why the two speeds are so different

1. Filtering is fast because the tweet is already caught. When you track an account, its new tweets are picked up in well under a second. Checking whether the text contains "CA" adds nothing you would notice. That is why Xanguard's keyword filter is free and runs at the same median as every other tweet alert.
2. Searching all of X is a repeated question. A search tool asks X "anything new for this keyword?" on a timer. The timer sets the worst case. On a 30-minute schedule a matching tweet waits 15 minutes on average before you hear about it; on a 1-minute schedule, about 30 seconds; on X-Relay's 15-second cycle, about 7 seconds.
3. X's search is not the full firehose. X's own search leaves out some tweets it treats as low quality or spam, and can surface a tweet a little after it is posted. Any all-of-X keyword tool inherits this. Tracking the accounts directly avoids it.

The practical rule: if you can name the accounts that matter, track them and filter by keyword. Use an all-of-X search only for words you cannot tie to a list of accounts.

Who should not buy Xanguard Search Alerts

1. Anyone who needs a keyword from unknown accounts within seconds. Our fastest schedule is once a minute. X-Relay (about 15 s, about 4 with Turbo) and TweetNotify (under 15 s) are faster.
2. Anyone who only needs one or two keywords. $50 for 20 queries is poor value for two. TweetNotify's $19 plan includes 2 keyword monitors plus 10 accounts; X-Relay includes keyword search in its $15 plan.
3. Discord users. We do not deliver to Discord.
4. Marketing teams who want sentiment charts and reports. Brand24 and similar tools do that; we send alerts, not reports.
5. People who cannot pay in SOL. We take SOL only.

Where Search Alerts does fit: 20 all-of-X queries on one plan, delivered to Telegram and to your own software through REST or WebSocket, for monitoring that does not need to be seconds-fast (project names, brand mentions, exploit or airdrop chatter).

How keyword tracking goes wrong

1. Short words match too much. Plain text filters match inside other words: "sol" also matches "solution" and "console". Use longer words, cashtags ("$SOL") or phrases.
2. Broad queries flood the chat. An all-of-X search for "airdrop" or "pump" returns hundreds of spam tweets an hour. Add operators (for example min_faves:20, -filter:replies, lang:en) or a follower threshold.
3. Keywords in images are missed. Contract addresses and tickers posted as screenshots do not contain searchable text. Among the tools we checked, TweetStream and Tweet Catcher advertise reading text inside images; keyword filters on Xanguard and search-based tools match tweet text only.
4. Scheduled checks can bunch up. After an interval passes, a busy query can return many matches at once. Xanguard dedupes matches and caps each batch.
5. X search has gaps. Some tweets never appear in X search, so no search-based tracker will see them. If a miss would cost you money, track the account itself.

Setup

Free keyword filter on accounts you track (instant):

1. Open @Xanguard_bot in Telegram and send /start. Follow the prompts: on the free plan you join the Xanguard community, and you link a private Telegram group for your alerts with /setup.
2. Add an account: /add @handle. To add keywords in the same step, write @handle | ca, launch, pump.
3. Or open Keywords in the bot menu, pick the account and add words. Only tweets containing at least one of them will alert you. Leave it empty to get every tweet.

All-of-X Search Alerts (scheduled):

1. In the bot, open Add-ons, choose Search Alerts and pay $50 in SOL.
2. Add up to 20 queries. Plain words, quoted phrases, cashtags and X search operators work.
3. Set the check interval: 1, 5, 10 or 30 minutes, 1 hour or 6 hours. Default is 30 minutes.
4. Optional: send matches to your own system through the REST or WebSocket API.
